Take Off The Quilt Poem by Mohammad Younus

Take Off The Quilt

Take off the Quilt
From your face
O, you sleeping buried
Under the Quilt.
Let your eyes see the dawn!
Why you lie all the night
With a quilt over you?
See the sun has risen
From the night's darkness!
The Sun will do what
God bids it to do.
Absorbed in shining
The new life in you
The Sun is sending out
Warmth and light
It is free
Like the absolute monarch
To design its plan,
Of reviving
The dead life in you.
Its actions cannot be called
As right or wrong.
Whatever it does
When it comes to shine
On you and the world
Is above every doubt
For waking you up
From sleep deep
For enlightening you
To bring you out of darknes.
Waking up and enlightenment,
God's grace!
Stand up now
He is standing before you:
Get out of Quilt
Open your eyes.
