Tactile Sensations Poem by Suzanne Hayasaki

Tactile Sensations

Play a symphony on my skin.
Let your fingertips dance on its surface.
Slide them lightly down my arm.
Then let them rest at the base of my spine.
Look into my eyes and listen.

Can you feel the beat
Pulsing like passion?
Let the rhythm sink in.
Let it light up your mind
With an underlying design
Both intricate and simple.

Then let your body lead mine.
Signal me with a shift of weight.
Spin me with a twist of your wrist.
Place your hand on my waist
And pull me in tight.

On the dance floor I will follow.
As we salsa I will not resist.
If you dip me, I will fall.
If you tug me, I will come.

But when the dance ends,
And you walk me home,
When we reach my door,
No matter how pliant I may have seemed,
It will be my turn to take the lead
And decide whether you stay or leave.
So go ahead.
No pressure.
Impress me.

Look into my eyes. With the muse of love and art. Nice work.
