Summertime Poem by mike monahan

Summertime

Rating: 5.0

Summer, the season of warmth and light
Where days are long and the sun shines bright
A time of joy, a time of fun
When we bask in the heat and soak up the sun

The air is filled with the scent of flowers
As nature blooms in all its powers
The trees sway gently in the breeze
As we relax under the shady trees

The sound of laughter fills the air
As children play without a care
Splashing in pools and running through fields
Their innocent joy, a sight that yields

The beach calls out with its sandy shore
As waves crash and seagulls soar
We lay on towels, soaking up the rays
As the ocean sings its soothing praise

Picnics in the park, BBQs with friends
The warm summer nights, never seem to end
With fireflies dancing in the dark
Creating a magical, enchanting spark

The sunsets, a canvas of vibrant hues
As the sky turns into a mesmerizing muse
The stars come out, shining so bright
A magnificent show, in the summer night

But summer is more than just sun and fun
It's a time of growth, a time to become
To explore, to learn, to make memories
And cherish the moments, with loved ones and families

As the days grow shorter and the nights grow cool
We hold on to summer, like a precious jewel
For it brings us closer, to nature and each other
A season of love, a season like no other

So let's savour summer, with all its grace
And let it leave a smile on our face
For it will come again, with its warm embrace
And fill our hearts with its beautiful trace
