Summer Land Submits To Warm Wind Caress Poem by Terence George Craddock

Summer Land Submits To Warm Wind Caress

when winter ceases
summer land may yield
submit to warm wind
caress sunbeam pleasures

of radiant invigorating sunlight

ripe may grow fields
of wheat and barley
green lush meadows
may windswept dance

as crops sway to melodies

of ripening
maturity
spring shoots
green early

summer ripen into golden grains

green rapid
spring growth
fading into
ripening bounty

land gives of her strength

nurtures
seasonal crops
wealth is
productivity fruit

food yield measures

where two rivers
narrow meet
moisture kisses
river mouth

in early morning

greetings
moist
softer
ground

grows favoured

crops
abundant
yields
of plenty
