Summer Caprice Poem by Henry Tong

Summer Caprice

Rating: 5.0

Softly landed her
silver
streaked
hair.

Alternating colors
downpoured on my face.

Flickering light,
frothing shade,
smartphone screen
hides no emotion.

Like a dark silhouette
in the motionless water.

Like a fiercest strike
of a flattened thunder.

Light outruns
age, calm and composed,
and never falters.
