Such A Drag Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Such A Drag

death
concurrent
self-motivated
unto the ends …
underneath the
ground sunk, in
your years … the
ultimate endings
unrecognizable
forgotten; a filthy
glory … beneath your
last breaths. To sink deep, to
retreat from all of the threats
that load; an exhausting pain.
Death is of life. From the dirt
one comes and so returns.
Some convenience this.
Death is hard and tight
and such a drag …
