Strawberries For Sale Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Strawberries For Sale

Rating: 5.0

Damn those eyes that grinned in my face.
I presented you with truths untold.
Fruit drained of it's plumpness.
Now starved. A hollow shell that hungered for the wholeness of you.
I watch you from behind a plastic case.
Yearning to fill that same hunger I saw in you.
In hope to nourish you. I gave all of me.
Selfless to the pain that ached in my veins.
Stolen from the stem I knew as life.
Regardless to how I felt.
I saw how your lips quivered in thirst.
At that moment I knew my purpose.
I gave all of me, mistaking the gleam of your eye as eternal need.
Instead of the lust that proceeded to reach towards me.
That plastic case that protected me from the dust of sitting on that shelf.
You had no desire to love me for what I was.
I screamed in eternal anguish, feeling the grip of your nails dig into me.
Mistaking need for the gluten that you are.
I screamed stop only to feel the hatred of your teeth.
I am nothing now.
Remains of me stain your teeth, I hated you for what seemed a lifetime of pain.
Never the pleasure intended to be shared from me to you.
I begged and pleaded as you still bit into me.
I died in the palm of your hand, and you did nothing but fill your own
selfish desire.
For that I will never forgive you

First of all kool personification... I screamed stop only to feel the hatred of your teeth. I am nothing now... I died in the palm of your hand, and you did nothing but fill your own selfish desire. For that I will never forgive you these lines run deep with me.. thnx for sharing
