Where waking finds an empty pillow
Another hope, another deception
Where aching heart sees no tomorrow

Whatever wish, whatever conception
Saw loving you would bring such sorrow
Whatever truth, whatever frustration
Saw your sincerity was shallow

Together grew: together pulsation
Built something great of place, to borrow
Forever's space: forever's creation
Built as lasting love: all else hollow.
