Please don't correct my spelling.
To me it is a pain.
I tell this to my readers.
Their reaction is the same.

Please don't correct my spelling.
I show you my ID.
It's Josehf not Joseph.
I know just who I be.

Please don't correct my spelling.
I've heard an owls call.
It's who to all that listen.
Not whom I say to all.

Please don't correct my spelling.
To this I loudly cry.
For if no one will listen.
I think that I will die.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Spelling is an ARS Poetica, (poetry on poetry) , from my book Melodious Verse. This poem is inspired by my use of cryptograms, double entendrès and the spelling of my name. This is a quaternion poem written in four quatrains with beginning refrain, simple four-line rhyme, and written in 86 words. Centered for aesthetic symmetry, the image is by me Josehf Lloyd Murchison.

The weird thing is that I hadn't noticed your unique spelling until this poem. And I enjoyed your summary as well. Might need to check out your book.

Thanks, my name does have an advantage, you google Josehf and you get pages to me and one other fellow from South America.
