Speak Truth Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Speak Truth

Readers often comment
Remind me at present
That my poems are not only worth
But easy to dream and breathe

How do I care to tell?
That someone else is behind all
She was first to tell me about poem
Melody, words and rhythm

She repeatedly told "I am only poets"
If you observe and remain quiet
I shall add you as friend
And remain till the end

Even though I had not offended her
She had kind heart to bother
I did not pursue but liked her approach
Till from that time she is with me to guide and preach

If you ask me to speak truth
I shall hesitate and not be that smooth
I feel that she should be kept in high esteem
Given enough of room and luxury of time
