Speak The Truth Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Speak The Truth

Speak the truth with difference
Retain self interest at once
Guide safely so as not to comprise
The principles you believe are wise

We want the people with some adherence
Not wholly but partly with chance
If speaking truth harms existence
There should be no more insistence

Even animals run away From the scene
When they realize how the life should be seen
The danger to the life is never acceptable
If it is likely to cause danger or create trouble

Keep silence if can't speak truth
Show no appearance where presence is not worth
"To protect life" should be the main concern
Then comes artificial way of life in turn

Let us not worry about principles
True life with honesty amid trouble
If it can't help us to overcome
Simple and ordinary approach should be welcome
