Speak Anything Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Speak Anything

Speak anything

Let no one speak anything
Our hollow words mean nothing
Let us not make lips sinking
It is not at all striking

It is often said
"God provides food to all" reaches aid
Million die and same amount enters world
No one cares or word has been told

It is human heart that sheds tears
Over the people who suffer
On account of poverty and homelessness
We look at them and simply pass

What is use?
If we only express
In words with little feeling
The apathy shown has no meaning

So selected piece of hardship
Makes us to weep
But what can we do unless we have means to help
It is mere show of emotions and certainly a trap
