Sonnet-All Things Happen Through God Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet-All Things Happen Through God

Yeah, Man can't solve all problems in his life,
And only when he can't, he thinks of God;
No man on earth needs God if not for strife;
Man thinks he can do things all, tho’ he's clod.

The devils lie that sin gives joy all life;
And men become a victim of false hope;
Man ventures forth in sinful ways so rife,
And God gives woes to check him- he can't cope!

And when his sins affect his body, mind;
The fear of death, disease, suff'rings loom high;
Man thinks of God again; So, Peace he'll find;
His soul is cleansed and no more like pig-sty.

God gives more grace to souls in contrition;
Man does more good as acts of attrition.
