Sonnet 1: If You Were Mine Poem by Ojok Isaac

Sonnet 1: If You Were Mine

If you were mine, if to me you belong
The breezes would blow happiness in our life
The bell of love in the church would be gong'
I'd tell the Priest ''I do" ''this is my wife''

Your lips would be water, that quench my thirst
In darkness, your cute face would light my room
Your soft moans___your puff breath___would take my chaste
My love won't flactuate down in times of doom

My mother would feel glee to see our son
My bro's would exalt me for marrying you
Our house would be built in a rose garden
'Wise Men' would see us as star of love true

If you were mine, if to me you belong
Nothing would be wrong, your name'd be my song
