Somewhere Over The Moon Poem by Anisha Nyambe

Somewhere Over The Moon

somewhere over the moon
under the stars
lies a masterpiece beneath
your heaven, my mars.

in the eyes so lone
there's something true
about the solemnity
of you.

somewhere in the center of my sun
there is a colorful noon
and you stand there
tell me you'll return soon.

the glass walls will fall
and my heart might shatter.
it has once before
so beat it like cake batter.

somewhere over the moon
in those eyes of yours
there's a midnight ocean
of a million shores.
