Solitary Abyss Poem by Hannatu Pqrs

Solitary Abyss

Rating: 5.0

It's cold out there,
Really cold.

And it seems as if you are standing all alone;
By yourself,
In the middle of a blizzard;
In the middle of nowhere.

You are wearing the thickest clothing ever,
But it's still cold.

You feel pain all over,
Yet, you cannot walk away.
Somehow, you can't get your legs
To move.

You try to cry,
But you have lost your voice.
And the tears freeze,
The moment they start to roll down your frozen cheeks.

And it seems to you
That there is no one in sight;
No one can reach you for miles and miles
And miles.

And it seems to you
That you are all alone,
At least, mostly so
For,
From time to time,
It seems as if Fear,
Is right beside you,
Keeping you company the whole time.

In the background are voices
Sounding far away:
Consoling, soothing; saying that they understand.
But no one can understand, really
Unless they were you,
As if that were possible.

Indeed, it's a cold and lonely world out there,
When you lose someone…
