So Early, So Late Poem by Samuel Segun Toluwalase

So Early, So Late

Rating: 5.0

Like the evening preceeds the night, your best days have come to be.
Please don't think of stopping, of getting away from me now
You don't even need to speak

When We've been here for a year
When you leave, if you leave, I'll miss you when you go away.
So I'll open the blinds and doors if you need to walk right back in.

I arrived when you were gone
Later and weaker like a child
Now all my love and life I give to you
Because your heart is all I need.

Oh how quiet, quiet the world can be
When it's just you and little me
Everything is clear and everything is new
So will you be leaving, will you?
No promises but I'll keeping your bracelet and be your safety.

So early, so late...
