So Are You And I Poem by Nika McGuin

So Are You And I

Rating: 5.0

Just as a magnolia flower
buds, blooms, its petals then shrivel
into dry crisps to be scattered
by the wind in varying paths
So are you and I

Once a single flower, and now

detached
scattered
lost

So are you and I

A poignant yet wonderful poem. It vividly captured separation. Beautifully written with great imagery.
