Smoky And His Hoss Poem by Belle Wassermeister

Smoky And His Hoss

Rating: 5.0

I miss old Smoky and his hoss;
he's not been seen of late.
If he's now gone, it is our loss;
wish he'd ride through the gate.

You're right, Belle. Smoky is missing in action lately. And Ron is right, too. Your little poem is very well done.

Nice rhymes and perfect meter in your cute little poem. I miss Smoky, too. He's one of my best pals.

Thank you so much! I'm still riding, but have been slow on writing, I'll give it a go around again soon, thanks for the inspiration!

Belle, this poem of yours, which I enjoyed, came up when I was checking up on Smoky, one of the few poets I follow in PH. I see he has posted since this poem of yours. I'm glad, and I guess you are too. -Glen

I enjoyed this for its clean rhyming and because I agree that PH cannot tolerate the loss of Cowboy---5 star agreement

Nor of Smoky, either, but Smoky is now back and Cowboy has ridden off into the sunset.
