Silence Poem by Shelvakumari Thachayil

Silence

Rating: 5.0

Someone should invent
mechanisms for opening and closing
the best parts of ourselves
Unrecognizable the shape of heart
All different not one the same
All with a beat all it's own
Some synchronized some out of time
Listen to it beat, it plays your tune
No other has it, it's one alone
When words were in slumber
I tried listening to the silence
Heartbeats reminded me of life
Calmness of the soul, of peace
It is now, I woke up to silence

When words were in slumber I tried listening to the silence..calmness of the soul and desire for peace. you are a lover of silence. all poets should be lovers of silence. in silence is a birth of poems and thought and philosopy.. tony

A witty rendition elegantly brought forth with clarity of thought and mind. A beautiful creation. Thanks for sharing Shelva.
