You are given the medicine
It's good for you
But it puts a bitter taste in your mouth
Makes you not want to take it
But it's the honest truth
And you've just got to
Face it!
It also has some real strong
Side effects
Sometimes much stronger
Than the medicine itself
Side effects
They can be bitter too

A mirror cannot show
You nothing but what it sees
If it's beautiful it's beautiful
If it's ugly it's ugly
But wisdom is the doctor
And truth is the medicine
And it don't always go down easy
And just like any medicine it has some
Side effects
And sometimes
Those side effects
They can be so much stronger
Than the medicine itself
