Shine Upon Me Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

Shine Upon Me

Rating: 5.0

Please shine upon me heavenly light
I'm lost and so alone,
When happiness is all around
My heart seems made of stone.

For now the grass of solitude
Beneath my feet does grow,
There's nothing more that I can do
I don't know where to go.

And so I look to you my friend
To be there by my side,
To lead me through this wilderness
And give me back my pride.

Please shine upon me heavenly light
For darkness gathers deep,
And lift the curse befallen me
And wake me from my sleep.

This is so beautiful, a wonderful plea, and so well expressed. I really liked this one, it had a spiritual depth. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
