Send for me no flowers.
No flowers send for me.
Plant a lovely primrose.
Perhaps in fall a willow tree.
There is no need for sorrow.
No flowers send for me.
Save the flowers for the butterfly.
Save the flowers for the bee.
And should you come to visit;
do you come in early spring.
And should you come to visit;
a present kindly bring.
Bring the seeds of flowers.
Sow them wide and sow them free.
Sow them on the meadow;
a gentle coverlet for me.
