Seasoned By Life Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Seasoned By Life

Rating: 5.0

The grey in the hair, the wrinkles under the eyes,
Life taught a lot of things by and by

Wait, wait always for the mist to clear
To see how the things really appear

Love, affections are wonderful feelings
But empathy, compassion, help in the healing

There are some roadblocks on life's highway
One has to detour through backstreets and alley

Lifelines run parallel, diverse and cross
But they never ever come together and merge

Burning the midnight oil can fulfill your dreams
But a good night's sleep can cure all ills

All that you gather as you move along the way
Will leaden your footsteps till you give them away

In the end you will find the only one by your side
Whose blessings and grace you have sought all your life

A beautiful poem on life. Yeah, after all the struggles and success and failures we will retire to our original home. Nice ink.
