Saudade (Tanka) Poem by C.D. Sinex

Saudade (Tanka)

Rating: 5.0

Cherries in full bloom.
Petals falling one by one.
No time to wither.
Feelings have flittered away.
Your empty chair reminds me.

I was really interest in reading your poem when I saw its title, and I must say I am not a least bit disappointed. You captured the 'saudade' to near perfection and the choice of your poetic form being a tanka is all the more appropriate. Beautifully written, thank you for sharing...
