Rum, Crumbling! Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Rum, Crumbling!

Listeners!
Readers,
Learners,
Writers,
Painters,
Workers,
To help exorcise such demonic spirits!
Influencing the minds of the people in the village.

A bathroom with the necessary facilities,
Needed on this care;
But, opposed with the muse of your love in this village,
When your relationships were exposed.

The watchman!
Presided over;
The convict!
Deceased;
But, the medications proved ineffective! !
Bent on getting rid of the pregnancy.

Demonic spirits!
Believed to be the cause;
With the superstition in this village,
As the high-hills were found in your room.

Sprout up!
Stumbling,
Propagating,
Improvident;
Like a novice!
To alleviate their plight,
Rum, crumbling!
Influencing the minds of the people in the village.
