Rose Petals Poem by Alisha C

Rose Petals

Rating: 4.5

I am the rose petal
He is the thorn
We born with each other
For reason unknown

I soothe mind & your soul
He bitterly stings
I am chosen by my grace
Amidst entire human beings

I am the tales of fairies
Who makes journey at night
I carry smell of them
And treat ya people right

I am the bless of the Sky
Which human calls their roof
I die and dry but not my grace
I don't need to give ya proof

I am the rose petal
He is the thorn
He is a waste and so rejected
I am your own.

I wrote the poem 'Rose Petals Ephemeral Wind Whisper On Water' inspired by the poem 'Rose Petals' by the poet Alisha Castle and dedicated to Alisha Castle.

'I am the rose petal He is the thorn' beautiful contrasting imagery, 'the tales of fairies... and making 'journey at night' opens into worlds of possibilities
