Rose And Marigold Poem by Vidya Murali

Rose And Marigold

Rating: 5.0

Marigold was in glee
Amidst the tender leaves
Glanced at the pretty rose
Amidst the serrated thorns
Still the rose was mirthful
With a pep and spark
Swayed elated and joyful
Marigold peeped with a sombre
Wept for the tender rose
Encircled by the honed thorns
Still the blithe rose rocking

The Grover intruded
Into the garden
Plucked the marigold
But pricked by the needles
Pulled out his hand
From the thorny rose
And packed off the garden

Still the rose cheered
And bloomed her fragrance
She smiled at the thorns
She knows the pocky thorns
Are to protect her.
