Rock Rabbits On The Hillock Poem by Gert Strydom

Rock Rabbits On The Hillock

Early morning rock rabbits sit
on the hillock in the sun
as if they are guarding the silence
and when you shout
your voice echoes back,
with hundreds suddenly fleeing
and it feels as if moments are frozen.
