Right Choice Poem by Veronica T. C.

Right Choice

Rating: 4.3

Every day when I wake up,
There is no dad who says good morning,
Every time when I feel down,
there is no dad to say it will be ok.
He had a choice,
But he didn't pick me,
We're miles apart,
But he's still in my heart,
The only love he's given me,
Came in the shape of two puppies,
I guess that's all he's good for,
Living life like a dog can't be much more.

Heartfelt poem, To live without parents is very painful specially when we need moral support to face the hardship of life, You nailed it with this poem. Thanks for sharing.

I've just read your first poem posted to this site. I am deeply moved. Your poem made me ponder as to how good or bad a dad I was to my three sons in their childhood, and also now. To them, I was and am a very reserved person. But I hope they know now how deeply I loved them in their childhood too from behind my grim countenance. I love them very much but this does not show up in my expressions. The only love he's given me, Came in the shape of two puppies, - By this, did you mean real puppies, or perhaps your cute siblings described as puppies. Every child deserves both of his/her parents' love. Your poem makes me feel sad. Please cheer up and look up!
