Richness Of Devotion Poem by Budhashaya Behera

Richness Of Devotion

Rating: 5.0

I can feel the richness of devotion,
For my living he values more,
He is my Lord, who plays flute,
In deep forest along with cows,
Along with calves he plays,
And at evening he returns backs home,
His mother waits and I too wait to meet,
He is son of her mother
But he is nephew of mine.

I am his aunt, more affectionate,
He knows and he recognizes me,
He comes to my lap to hear story,
For me he plays flute,
Like her mother, I am too for him,
He respects his maternal aunt,
Getting grace from him
And gaining knowledge from him,
From Meenakshee,
I have become Budhashaya,
I am his aunt, I have motherhood.

I cannot live without my nephew,
My day starts worshiping my Lord,
Who is dressed in yellow clothes,
And who beholds flute and plays,
A relationship between aunt and nephew
This is just like a relationship
Between a mother and son!
He understands and he loves me,
I Love my Lord very much,
My child Lord, gives me grace,
My day ends chanting his name,
I am Budhashaya,
I surrender before my Child Lord!

Maintaining richness of devotion means maintaining higher status of life. Considering God as nephew is very interesting. Relationship between devotee and Lord is very nice and true and eternal. This poem is brilliantly penned.10

In my comments on 'Your Grace', I talked about devotion, and here it is, once again richness of devotion matters. The piece is very feelingly written.
