Remembrance Poem by Matthew Holloway

Remembrance

Let it never be forgot
those who fought, those we lost
those who faced fire and steel
the bravery and determination
to serve family and country alike
to fight for an ideal, what is right
to fight against hate and the unjust
let us never, never forget
those who went before us all
those who marched through every war
where fields of poppies now stand
let us united and swear an oath
that never again shall we say
this is no man's land
