Realizing The End Poem by Erika Wingo

Realizing The End

Rating: 4.5

If you saw me lost-
Alone
Would you call out my name?
If you found me
Stuck in sadness
Would you comprehend my pain?
When you figured out my story
Would it make you want to
Love me more?
Would you see me in a brand new light
Or choose to blatantly ignore?

If you could see
What I have seen
If you could dream my dreams
A faceless shadow in the dark
Would you hold me while I screamed?
When it all falls apart,
If I can't stop crying
Will you help me find the
Missing pieces of my heart?
When you've lost the battle
Realizing the end
Is the worst part

'If I can't stop crying Will you help me find the Missing pieces of my heart? ' - Very touchy! Deep feelings, deep thoughts, nicely put in words.

A very poignant poem where the broken heart is utterly asking for a help..... very heart touching one.

Unmasking our true selves, fearing rejecting and being misunderstood, is a huge risk...but often worthwhile when we realize that others wear their own masks, and share the same need to be accepted and nurtured. Be brave..be your own kinda beautiful. Well inked piece.....PEACE
