Re-Winding Home Videos
The ordained day arrived.
I didn't know what to expect,
If I expected anything,
But I did;
That's human nature,
But I'm the only one
That seems to understand.
So, the expectations -
Damn expectations -
Fuelled by media,
Stoked by my desires,
Were prominent today.
I was left spitting the ashes,
Re-winding home videos.
