Rain, Keep Me Lonely Poem by Rites Ghosh

Rain, Keep Me Lonely

Rating: 5.0

Loneliness, you come to me
in my morning varandah and sipping tea
when after crushing summer
comes first the brave busy shower.

Stuck in your dripping arts
I lose
in a slow senseless gaze
all my parts-

whose filling hands
soaked me in -
and turned th rainfilled earth
brisk and green?

I hear me walking all in one,
hear me, walking in poetry alone
under th' gloom of swooping cloud
across th' edge of earth
wearing senses' fine shroud.

Hush!
loneliness comes like a single hum
and waterdrops drum
the first fall of love-
and fills millions of chasms
with life's one bold rub
of blood, of sudden spark and shiver
Rain with all loneliness, has come a giver.

Bury me in your moist shadow
where the distant deeps of sky
makes a humble bow-
in oneness of sound and gaze
they put me ever in a lonely cage.

It gives me meaning to be lonely now
to ride over th' cloud's sad hump
and precisely allow
me to lose my all -

I know,
like the last brown leaf
somewhere on th' way the saddest fall
left me battered though,

I have never enjoyed
so much my lonely feet
as in the newly ploughed sky
of rainy thoughts
where a vision I meet -

some loneliness
a lovely salvage always-
keeps no pain
some loneliness
from the wisest rain
flies me out
in an alluring sky
where the contemplate lurk
sings deep to get it by.
