Rain Child Poem by Danielle Mari Nidea

Rain Child

Rain child, why do you weep?
Why do you stay outside?
Is no one worthy to make you smile?
Is no one by your side?

Rain child, what makes you think
That you have built no walls?
What makes you think that the universe
Is responsible for all?

Rain child, why do you stay
At where you know it's cold?
The stories by the fireplace
Are the greatest ever told.

Rain child, why do you look at me
Like I'm born from rain like you?
A little blow to clear the sky
Is all you need to do.
