Quandry Resolved Poem by Eugene Levich

Quandry Resolved

Rating: 4.5

My wife just reminded me:
"The garbage gets collected tomorrow morning
And you'd better take it out now."

Why doesn't she take it out herself once in a while?
Why do I have to do it all the time?
I've always been a supporter of gender equality,
But women don't seem to want equality for men.
Why do I have to get up to give a woman a seat,
Hold the door open for a woman,
Pick up the bill in a restaurant,
And why can't they put the seat down,
Since I've had to lift it up?

I asked my wife why I always have to
Carry out the garbage.
She replied:
"Because men have to be punished! "

"Oh, " I said, "well, okay, that makes sense, "
And I went to tie up the plastic bags and
Carry them down.

1 - NOW you're [finally] learning! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! except at night, when i pee, standing in the bathroom, into a large empty plastic vinegar jug [with opening enLARGED], OR when a wall urinal is available, OR i'm outdoors, roughing it, i sit on the toilet seat to pee and like to put the seat cover down before flushing [my mate wants the cover open; oh well].

2- I’m NOT allowed to cook or do laundry if my mate is around, but i DO take care of 'garbage' and 'recycling' chores, & i make sure there is toilet paper on dispenser (not just two sheets left) , & i do most of the dishes after licking them as best i can. nice write. bri :)

" " Topic(s) of this poem: civil rights, gender, humor" Yes, Gino, you have the right to be " civil" , nay the responsibility, which i'm sure you ARE! to MyPoemList bri :) Heck, i see i already commented, but did not send to MPL.
