Hypnosis is a two edged sword.
It can have benefits to the patient or
it can be used to control him or her.
Its main purpose is to retrieve lost memories,
but there are cases where it has implanted
false memories, probably most unintentional.
People who ‘remember' past lives may fit
into this category. Children have testified against
parents who were innocent because of it.

The Nazis used brainwashing in World War Two.
People subjected to harsh conditions can be
changed to do things they wouldn't do otherwise.
Modern day police have done the same to get
confessions out of people who are innocent.
There are many cases of people doing what their
superiors say, and not thinking about it being wrong.
This is one of the saddest things going on today.
