Psalm 1 Poem by Cleveland W. Gibson

Psalm 1

I saw a man who's face did shine.
Not from beer or too much wine,
rather from what he clearly saw,
goodness, light and God's law.

He prayed to our God each day,
loved the words Lord had to say.
He kept away from the evil one,
Happy with good things God done.

Man's future lies in what he reaps,
Content with God is how he sleeps,
Then burning bright like a beacon light,
God showers him with what is right.
