Ode to my gentle peace,
arrived at a calm release,
through intimate means opposites attracts,
from the curve of his fingers,
to the arch of his back,
when his human soul fits the mold,
of the one I've so longed to hold,
his eyes his mouth his lips,
how I've ached for his kiss,
his tenderness, his manliness,
meek and demure,
his warmth I have never known before,
and who could have predicted an encounter such as this,
not I, in a thought, a dream or a wish,
but suddenly here I am,
and thank God so is this sweet, strong, presence of a man.
