Predjudice Poem by maria goodison

Predjudice

Rating: 5.0

Since you always judge me
On the way that I appear
I have some words to say to you
I'll make it crystal clear.

Why do you prefer to judge me on the
Clothes I wear?
If your going to laugh at me I may as
Well walk bare.

It's horrid when you tease me, about the
Way I speak.
Even if I stand up to you I still feel small
And weak.

I really hate those people that judge others
On their skin to look inside is to see a truth what
Matters is within.

I'd like to knock some sense into those to thick
To see by hitting them with a pole.
I wish that you'd all judge me on the colour of my soul.

A striking poem dear poetess. Biasedness makes the man ignorant. There is nothing like perfection. Learning is life....................... Beautiful poem.
