Praise You Poem by Alexander Thomas

Praise You

I long to touch,
Yearn to feel,
Hanker to hold,
Lust to live!
I strive to reach,
Deeper,
Further,
To get to you!

I worship you whose heart sings,
With all the love it brings,
I praise you that creates,
For you time immortal waits.

You are as clouds stirring,
A morphing glory,
You are as the wind whispering,
A faint comforting voice,
You are as soothing water,
Soft cleansing hands,
You are as a glimmer of dawn,
A new beginning.

I worship you whose heart sings,
As you are blessed with angel's wings,
I praise you that creates,
You usher us all through paradise's gates.

You are inbetween breaths,
The heart that hesitates,
You are the fingers clutching,
The beauty I hope to grasp,
You are behind the eyelids,
A light that never fades,
You are the warmth in my cheeks,
The fire that forever burns.

I worship you whose heart sings,
For you a tiny bell in heaven rings,
I praise you that creates,
For all a better world awaits.

You are in the air,
You call from the silence,
You are the word,
You are the promise,
Your life is the answer,
Our strength the reason,
We are a leap of faith,
Love is the truth, sins forgiven,
All is sacred in our blooming garden,
Mine is a hallowed heart,
And ours a glorious art.
