Practice #2 Poem by Bryony Sheldon

Practice #2

Rating: 5.0

Well it was getting pretty late,
Still had dirt across my face,
Took a visit to the line that shone like steel.
Now every other breath
Feels like I'm taking one more drag
And as I lie here on my back
I yearn for all those things that I can't feel.
So I curse Aphrodite,
See, she always tries to smite me
And when I hear her angels calling
It's only as a threat.

A deep personal muse, poetically cryptic in a sensational way. I can't be sure what it denotes but it is nice even without being too clear. Thumbs up! Plz do read and comment your thoughts on my newest prose titled, " face veils/face masks same thing " as it fosters an understanding of the shared veiling practice btw east and west since history.

A unique and thought provoking write. Only a Poetess with great imagination can weave and deliver this kind of theme. " I yearn for all those things that I can't feel" . A powerful line from a marvelous poem. Beautifully crafted with compelling imagery.

Ah, the irrepressible and uncontrollable kingdom of Love, where Aphrodite is Queen! Wanting to love and not loving, is what this poem says. Quite different, yet, fantastically attractive and alluring.
