Poet Seer In Parable. Comments

This is a happy surprise! The context of this poem contains no peril or threat to people or the Poet-Seer, and instead of a promethean role, he is playing the role of the Teacher. And like good teachers throughout history, he knows the lesson they are prepared for and need. His teaching is almost effortless: it goes directly into his listeners' psyches without the need of exegesis or elaboration. But he is exhausted by his telling of needful things, and must assume a period of rest - and recovery. One again, we see the Poet-Seer as a helper who asks for nothing in return.
