On one spring day of the Partridge Sky
I saw a Pair of Sparrows flying high.
Gentle breeze spread the Willow Branch Song
So sweet and tender, as is any Southern Song.
Treading on Grass, Petite came in sight,
Playmates all had Joy of Day And Night,
Groping For Fish, in a Riverside Town,
And Picking Mulberry, or singing along.
The Joy at Meeting seemed to be infinite,
No more of the Crows Crying at Night.
There were Butterflies Lingering over Flowers,
While Swallows Leaving Pavilion and bowers.
Beautiful Lady Yu was playing music to Polaris,
She Playing Flute Recalled on Phoenix Terrace.
A Slow, Slow Tune, with slight tint of sentiment,
To express Everlasting Longing for her beloved distant.
Buddhist Dancers came to the Fountain of Wine,
To watch Ripples Sifting Sand to flow and shine.
One girl happened to lose one of her Phoenix Hairpins,
Which spoiled their time, as a Song of Broken Chains.
To comfort her, an Immortal at the River was needed,
Telling of Innermost Feelings the unlucky girl pleaded.
Pure Serene Music and Song of Divination be absolute,
Green Jade Cup and Magpie on a Branch should go next.
From the River, A Fisherman's Song was suddenly heard,
Who planned on Paying Homage at the Golden Gate.
How fortune he was, to witness the Charm of a Singer,
He looked happy as if hearing Auspicious Dragon Chant.
Right now, the Moon over the West River becomes brighter,
And I've to stop at the Prelude to Water Melody, as a narrator.
