When you eat sugar mixed with fat,
It might seem just a bit of this and that,
But we remember something as a baby,
Made by our favourite lady,
For milk from our mother,
Is food like no other.
A mixture so rare,
Nothing in nature can compare.
It reminds us of a mother's love,
When problems seemed far above,
And we needed to grow large,
In a world where big people are in charge.
It's written into more than one gene,
So you'll never be able to wean,
Yourself from sugar mixed with fat,
But don't despair or cry, 'Oh drat! '
Just try to start,
To keep them apart.
Your favourite ice-cream,
Will not taste like a dream,
In fact you'll probably feel sick,
And realize it was all a trick,
To earn a lot of gold,
From all the rubbish sold,
By a food industry who make addicts of us all,
Long before we can even crawl.
There's plenty of time to learn,
You already know it's a concern,
So stop gaining weight,
Before it's too late.
Cut your risk of heart disease,
I ask you on bent knees,
I'll even say please.
Just try to start,
To keep them apart.
