Peacock Fledged And Innocent (Final Version)

lifting up the stone to throw
at the least provocation or worse
no provocation at all
how I wish then suddenly
for the earth to open beneath your feet
just enough to cause you to drop the stone
and to realize
God's eye is everywhere
sunflower seeded, peacock fledged
and myriad
upon the innocent.
