Parallel Lines, Parallel Lives Poem by Khairul Ahsan

Parallel Lines, Parallel Lives

Rating: 4.6

Parallel lines
Move equidistant from each other,
Under all circumstances,
Whether they move straight
Or take a curve,
To the left, or to the right.

Parallel lives are quite like
Parallel lines;
They may not be always
Eqidistant,
But they do not ever meet
In their course of life's jouney!

Touch they not physically ever!
Yet move they on,
On their own tracks,
Within mutual imaginary vision.
Parallel lines and parallel lives
Thus move apart, yet in unison.

Beautifully expressed poem of life’s movements. Life seems to contain many layers of parallel worlds within itself. Though we live together, all of us contain a world of our own, moving side by side with the world of others. Time seems to be a uniting factor giving the perception of merging lives at a certain point of time still each life holds a distinct place of its own. Congratulations for a much deserved member poem place.
