Paradise Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Paradise

Utopian visions are filled with blood
The pen of man is not the light of life
Oh! Bright sun of heaven let us see!
Eternity hides in parables
Poetry from the sea
Pearls of soft white
Forest green islands
Cleanse me from lies of enlightenment
Explain beauty you men of wisdom?
Your paradise is cold steel
You worship idols of gold of intellect
I am blessed by the lilies of the field
Light on the sea
Moonlit rivers
Birds of morning
White puffy clouds
Lavender flowers
Political visions are wayward attempts
Stars tell me about paradise
