Pain

I have a lament to the heavens
I have questions burning within
There's pain and despair dancing on my soul
God I want to question you
I want to ask why
I crave to ask what's my sin

I watch her cold body
There's no more warmth from her
Her heart is silent
There are no beats in it anymore
You gave breath and you took it

Lord my heart is raging
I stare at her bulging tummy
Within I can hear her voice as she spoke of the child
I can hear her laughter
I can hear the hopes in her

We planned a future for our little baby
We wrote tales for the child
We had dreams together
Yet today only a cold body remains of those dreams
I want to ask why
But even my voice is drained in the cold drenches of pain
